Las Casas is thrilled to be participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving taking place next Tuesday, December 1! Our goal is to raise $5,000, all of which directly supports our scholarship and educational programs. We hope you’ll consider helping us reach that goal.

Since 2009, the Joci Awards, Las Casas’ annual scholarship competition, has awarded more than $585,000 to deserving students who excel in the performing arts, making it the largest scholarship funding source of its kind in the United States. For many students, the Joci Awards represents their first opportunity to compete with a larger pool of talent, exposing them to other performing arts students outside their own high schools and is their first chance to perform on a professional stage.

Meet a few faces who have been directly impacted by the Joci Awards, including Aaron M. Arroyo, Julia Toney, Omri Russo and Storm Lineberger.

So, next week, we encourage you to give what you can afford, to as many organizations as you can. And whether you donate your money or your time, or simply share this post, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting the performing arts in San Antonio.
